The Southern Brooklyn COAD is hosting a free training to teach you how to survive an active shooter incident on August 9, 2018, at the Coney Island Library from 5:30pm – 7:30pm. Active shooter situations are unfortunately on the rise and the reality is that often times ethnic and religious minorities and other vulnerable communities – like those that we represent and serve – are the ones targeted. With this training we hope to empower you with the tools you need to be able to survive, should you ever find yourself in such an unfortunate situation.
